Trip Down Memory Lane

When Cloe wears Adelyn's baby clothes (rarely at the same age Adelyn wore them), I get to take a trip down Memory Lane.

Cloe can sit!

Over the past couple weeks, Cloe has been working on sitting by herself. She's finally mastered it!

I must say - she's pretty impressed with herself.

She's also started holding her own bottle and eating baby food. So far she's had avocado, sweet potatoes, banana, and mango. Today we're going to work on some peas. On the other hand, she's decided that naps are for babies - apparently she no longer is one - and doesn't think she needs to take any during the day.

Cloe's Room

Cloe hung out in her own room for the first time today. I think she liked it.

Carnivorous (Fiberivorous) Washing Machine

I've been suspicious for a couple of months now about my washing machine. Suspicious that it's normal diet of water and Tide is no longer satisfying its hunger. Of course, I had no proof of this - until this morning.

We ran a cleaning cycle with those fun little tablets last night. When I went to start a load of laundry this morning, I noticed about 5 orphaned Adebug and Clo socks in the drum of our front loading washing. I remembered this happening last time too, but chalked it up to missing some when we transferred the wet stuff to the dryer. This time though, I saw something poking up from the rubber seal in the front of the washer. At first I thought it was leftover suds, as it was a gray-ish color. When I touched it, I realized it was a sock. I pulled it out, and it brought another little kid sock with it. So I reached my hand down, behind the rubber liner, and pulled out handfuls of Adebug's and Clo's socks. By the time I was done, we had found around 30 orphaned socks!

Funny thing is, since we got this washer, I couldn't figure out what kept happening to all of their socks - I thought maybe Clo's were lost around the house, since they're so small & maybe Adelyn's weren't coming back with her after staying with various family members - so I kept buying more socks.

Since these socks - mostly white - have endured countless loads of various colored laundry over the past 4 months, they are all a lovely shade of grayish blackish redish blueish. Looks like the ladies will be getting new socks.....and a high quality mesh bag for them to be washed in.

(Yes Mom, this means I'm going to Target today...I also need shampoo, shaving cream, razors....)
